Design Brief

Design Brief (group)

The goal of this project is to design a tethered, robotic vehicle. This device must be able to operate on land or float and propel itself in the water, and be able to transition from one to the other. The device must also perform the task of retrieving objects and transporting them to another location. The TOV will be controlled using a tethered remote. This device will model a robotic rescue or transport system that would be used by rescue personnel or others of a similar profession in situations in which dangerous conditions may risk the lives of rescue personnel, or prohibit a human from performing such tasks.

Design Brief (individual)

Group member must design, construct, and intergrate the internal and mechanical portion of the TOV. All non-structural components of the TOV must be designed and tested by individual using the materials and limitations specified. These components include the propulsion systems for both land and water, internal electrical and mechanical systems, arm and arm control components, and the intergration of said systems into the main hull of the TOV.
